Mission: The Westmoreland County Museum & Library, Inc. is an historical and educational institution which researches and collects, preserves, interprets and promotes the importance of the history of the Northern Neck and its diverse cultures. It emphasizes the role of its early colonial and national leaders whose efforts significantly influenced the developement of Virginia and the birth of the American nation.

Montross Fall Festival Event Date: Saturday, October 02, 2010 The Museum joins the town in an all day celebration. See history come alive with crafts, theatre, re-enactors and games. Haunted Museum and Tales Event Date: Thursday, October 28, 2010 Start at the Library for scary stories from 6:30 -7 followed by a costume contest; then walk with our guide to a haunted night at the Museum from 7:30- 9p.m. on this weekend of tricks and treats. Open... Haunted Museum Event Date: Friday, October 29, 2010 If you dare, be guided through the halls of our spooky museum. Open to the general public @ 7p.m. for a screaming good time! $3 admission. Historic Home Tour Event Date: Sunday, December 05, 2010 See some of the wonderful gems within our county borders and learn about their history.
